The Violet Richardson Award honors young women for volunteer actions
in their community. This award is named on behalf of the
president of
the first Soroptimist club, Violet Richardson; a woman of action, whose
indomitable spirit and sense of personal responsibility were demonstrated
by
her lifelong commitment to volunteering in her community. The award
is given to the recipient’s choice of charitable organizations.

Meet the Award RecipientsEligiblity:
Eligible applicants are young women ages 14 thru 17 who make the
community and world a better place through volunteer efforts in their
community or school.
